There is some alarming news of Aamir Khan developing respiratory
problems coming in from Ludhiana where Aamir Khan has begun shooting for
Nitesh Tiwari’s film Dangal.
The biopic on the life of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat required
Aamir to put on 35 kilos. This, Aamir, gladly did. After all, this
method actor has always gone out of his way to lend credence to his
character.
However, such a drastic weight enhancement has caused unforeseen
side effects. According to sources close to the film, Aamir Khan has
developed respiratory problems.
Says a source, “Because of all the excessive weight Aamir has
developed respiratory problem. He finds it hard to breathe properly. His
muscle movements have also slowed down considerably. He finds it hard
to bend or even get up from a seated posture.”
Apparently, doctors have advised Aamir to get rid of his avoirdupois fast before more damage is done to his health.
“However, he has to maintain his current weight, 95 kilos, to play
the wrestler between the age of 45 and 55. Then after shooting for a
month, he will get 3 months to lose all the weight to play the character
at age 25-27. Such drastic enhancement and reduction of weight is not
medically advisable. It plays havoc with the metabolism. However, Aamir
has little choice in the matter, as he has to keep in character at any
cost,” says a source close to the project.
